SNEAK PEEK : THE WARATAH DEGRADE

After designing the new Waratah Print, I decided to make a special customized
version of the print for a pair of trousers.

For this version of the Waratah Print, the first hand sketch of the design is revealed.
Digitally printed, every stroke of ink and and every penciled detail is translated onto
fabric from the original working drawings.

Take a sneaky close up look at this new pair of trousers featuring in my upcoming collection!

THE WARATAH PRINT : BEHIND THE DESIGN

After recently designing the bright new Waratah print for my upcoming collection,
I thought I'd share some of the inspirations behind the design and the making of it

A selection of inspiration ingredients behind the design...

Through the process of developing the print, I had a lot of fun researching different
species of waratahs in secondhand bookstores.

I was inspired by the works William Morris and his famous rhythmic floral wallpaper
designs.

The traditional style of these 19th-century designs influenced the composition of
the Waratah print, and this this is where the drawing process began...

A peek from the studio: Hand drawing the first outline of the design in pencil
before filling out with vibrant colours.

 The final printed fabric:

Matching the print design to each garment for the first outfit of the collection.

More will be revealed soon!

The new Waratah Print - hand drawn and digitally printed onto fabric. Pretty soon it will
become one of the pieces featuring in my new collection.

Expect to see more from the studio over the next few weeks as the new collection evolves,
new pieces are made and most importantly, I'll be introducing more new prints!

It's always fun to share the magic from the studio, so stay tuned for regular updates!
