It was such a perfect day and I was thrilled to work with such talented individuals (including Phebe Rendulic not shown, working her magic behind the camera!)

IN THE STUDIO

I've been wanting to design a wardrobe for the modern creative woman who loves to dress with sophistication without sacrificing comfort. I feel like this new collection will be my best work yet....

I've been listening to a lot of lady punk-rock music lately in the studio, discovering a new love for Siouxsie Sioux and Yoko Ono while reading 'A Big Life' by Jenny Kee.

Perhaps I've been channelling the style of these three creative women because in the past few months I've been working with an ebony black palette, shot with ruby-red, ivory, and flashes of gold in hand beading and appliqués. It's a 'darker' palette than what I'm used to but it feels right.

Welcome to the new official blog, HELLO JULIE WHITE !

So, my name is Julie and I design clothes. I run my own namesake label for women

and I'm an Australian soon to live in Glasgow.

For those of you who just dropped in, here's my latest collection ~ Run Riot ~

A mighty year's ahead as I'm taking the label to the UK and studying my Masters in Fashion & Textiles at The Glasgow School of Art.

I'm pretty excited to start this new blog to share what's inspiring me at the moment and what I'm up to in the studio.
