BONNIE TREASURE IN EDINBURGH

The other week I took a sneaky trip out of Glasgow to see Edinburgh for the first time.
The giant hill-topped landscape was so pretty and it was fun being a tourist for a day!
One of my favorite spots while shopping was Armstrong's Vintage Emporium. There's three chain stores scattered across Edinburgh and it was a delight to find them stocked with such variety and rarity - from traditional highland attire to Zandra Rhodes prints and original flying jackets from World War II.

And just round the corner from Armstrong's, a little trip to the candy store went down a treat....I think I ate one, or five!

FOR THE LOVE OF LINDA

Earlier this year I visited the NGV in Melbourne to see Linda Jackson's colorful whirlwind of textiles in her first retrospective exhibition, 'Bush Couture'.

Lately, while I've been busy researching ideas for my new collection, I was browsing the Glasgow School of Art's Library and funnily enough I came across an amazing book by Linda Jackson.

I was pleased to find it shelved amongst the big world fashion names, but even better, it was signed by the amazing woman herself in 1995.

Written just like a journal and full of personal drawings and pictures, I loved it so much I thought I'd share a few pages....

OUTFIT: BLACK MAGIC

I was out this week exploring Scotland and came across the prettiest red doors I've ever seen!

It's only getting chiller over here, and while I'm imagining my friends back at home are busy sipping cider by the beach and enjoying cheese picnics, thankfully, this cold season is excellent for creative layering!

Today I wore my own 'Deco Bloom' jumpsuit and teamed it with a thing or two for a fun graphic punch.

M.DES FASHION PROMENADE 2012

The highly anticipated 2012 Glasgow School Of Art Fashion Promenade was held at the Lighthouse last week. Presenting the final collections by the recently finished Master's students, it was an intimate catwalk show to better demonstrate the dynamic and highly skilled craftsmanship up close - A very impressive show!

The students took inspiration from a vast range of global sources and specialized in either print, knit, or construction.
